Why is it that the game I specifically mentioned in my last entry (Ducks vs Oilers) the one I couldn't watch due to it being ESPN exclusive ends up being an amazing record breaking game? More like record setting, apparently. A lot of defensemen getting hat tricks. I saw a clip of Ekholm's empty netter and some guy was ready to throw his hat so fast lol. Amazing goal, though. And another Oiler's Dman scored a hat trick in their last game which is crazy! Back to back games. That's the record they set. First two defensemen to score hat tricks in back to back games for the same team. Kind of a mouth full of a record, but cool nonetheless. Ugh I wish I had watched it.
I keep rewatching the clip of the empty netter it's just so beautiful. I don't think I could ever have the accuracy to get the puck in from behind the other goal. Ha just saw the assists for the hat and I'm not at all surprised McDavid and Draisaital got points out of that
Man Oilers and Ducks have such a similar color scheme with all that ugly orange it's hard to tell which team a fan is wearing merch for lol. What a beautiful second goal, too.
